Lake Jacksonville Results June 2009
June 20th it was a warm 90 degree and sunny day,the water temp was in the 80s with a greenish stain color water.All anglers came to weigh in with fish.Fish were caught on buzz baits, plastic, and crank baits.The fish were not as easy to catch as we had all expected. Big Bass was caught on a buzz bait in an open channel over weeds weighing in at 3.74 lbs by Charley Obecny.Also took first place with three fish with total of 10.08 lbs.Second place went to Tony Rasmussen with two fish weighing at 5.34.Third place went two Donatas Jakelis with two fish weighing in at 5.23 earning his first tag and plaque.Forth place was Mike Russell with two fish 4.46 lbs. Fifthplace went to Chip Karpiesz with two fish,3.88 lbs. Sixth place Tom Bergbauer with one fish 3.00 lbs even.Seventh place Jason Milton one fish 2.68 and eighth place John Mitchell one fish 2.15 lbs. A total of 14 fish caugth weigthing 36.82 lbs.
June 21st it also was a warm 90 degree day with partly cloudy morning and turned out to be a hot sunny afternoon.The water was in the 80s with a greenish color.The fish were caught mostly on plastic and some on buzz baits off of the weed edges. Big Bass was a tie with 4.18 lbs each in the last cast of the day with Jason Milton on a corner stump on a worm,and Tony Rasmussen catching his fish early in the morning.First place was Chip Karpiesz with three fish catching one early in the morning on a buzz bait and one also on the last cast to take first place. Lucky with a total of 7.26 lbs. Second place was Tom Berbauer with three fish 6.81 lbs and another tag. Third place went to John Mitchell also with three fish on his secret red worms weigthing in at 6.59. Forth was Jason Milton two fish 6.19 lbs . Fifth with one fish Tony Rasmussem 4.18 lbs . Sixth Charley Obecny with one fish 2.82 lbs and seventh Donatas Jakelis one fish 1.70 lbs. And Mike Russell hanging in there with all the pain.We all wish him well on the surgery and a fast recovery.We hope to see Mike at the August tournament.A total of 14 fish caugth weigthing in at 35.55 lbs.
